Drafter
◼️SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, performs drafting services using basic drafting skills, to include board drawing and Autocad or Bricscad, in the production of steel building drawings. Information for drawings based on engineered design and applicable drafting standards.
◼️ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following, with other duties that may be assigned:
▪️Produce finished prints from rough drawings for anchor bolt plan and erection drawings.
▪️Make corrections to previously produced prints as necessary.
▪️Check prints for accuracy.
▪️Generate Letter of Transmittal to mail drawings, Letter of Certification and calculations.
▪️Generate component ticket for anchor bolts for shipment with drawings. Finished products to be high quality with minimal to no errors.
▪️Work is completed and released on schedule.

▪️Skill in the use of Autocad or Bricscad, Windows and Adobe Reader Skill with Metal Building Software program
▪️Skill in architectural and/or structural drafting to meet industry standards Ability to read and understand both written and oral instructions.
▪️Critical thinking and problem solving ability
▪️Self motivated, ability to mutli-task in fast paced environment
◼️EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
▪️High School diploma or equivalent.
▪️Graduate from an accredited drafting program preferred.
▪️One (1) year of drafting experience in a steel building environment. A working knowledge of Tekla is preferred.
◼️LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
◼️MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must be able to perform all basic math functions to include the addition and subtraction of fractions. Should be able to read a tape measure. Basic knowledge of geometry and trigonometry preferred.
◼️REASONING ABILITY: Must be able to reason logically in the performance of routine and non-routine duties.
◼️CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Drafting Diploma preferred
