Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver
Essential Job Functions
▪️Deliver goods while operating a tractor-trailer truck, spanning several states.
▪️Maintain LEGAL Log Book, both Paper and Electronic types.
▪️Job often requires driving long distances and overnight stays.
▪️Plan routes using maps or GPS tracking.
▪️Make delivery on time.
▪️Secure and Return to ACI the Straps, Chains, Tarps and other Tie- Down Items.
Non-essential Job Functions:
▪️Fill Truck with Fuel, Def, Oil, Etc. and keep Truck, Mirrors, and Windows clean.
▪️Report to dispatcher [David Nichols] any incidents encountered on the road.
▪️Must pass a DOT physical.
▪️Be Physically able to Secure the load, operate the Strap Bar, add Chains and Binders, Etc. as necessary to secure the load and make sure it has not or will not shift.
▪️The truck driver must be medically qualified to not only drive the vehicle safely, but also to do pre and post trip safety inspections,
▪️Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
▪️Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
▪️Keep their truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.
